I first heard cuey when he came out with his remix to Crashing Down but since then haven't given him much attention, I will say this many times throughout this blog, I'm dumb. I shouldnt't have set him aside. Cuey is a great artist who through his lyrisism and tone of voice it makes it so easy to hear his message and feel what he's feeling. i have no life so i did a review of every song but my favorite songs have asterics on them
****Story of a lifetime- great chorus, and a perfect #1 song, cuey has showed up, and is in it for the love of the music not greed.. and with a line like boobies doing the truffle shuffle how could this not be a great song?
*****Your Own Supply- Well we all know biggie says rule #4 is never get high on your own supply… but thats besides the point. in this un sung hero song for cuey says "since i was young i learned to endure im gonna get by just fine" well i know im gonna be fine if he keeps coming out with tracks like this
Won't matter tomorrow - funky drum beat, this song is about irish car bombs to the head, reminiscing with friends and "spend money like liquor that is flown"
****Breathe Me…. Really like the high pitch voice in this, reminds me of Lil wayne something you forgot…Cuey speaks of his inner daemons, and what truly is on his mind as an artist in this emotional track… a must listen
***The Sunset… comes in with a very nice acoustic guitar, with cuey talking softly in the back ground. the chorus explains it all in this song, whoever thinks cuey is waiting to watch the sunset with him is mistaken, because he is too driven and focussed in his rap game
You Must Be High -whatever chicky poo cuey is refereeing to MUST be high, in this uptempo song
She Likes My Music- In this song cuey's over that girl now and has found him some groupies that really like his……………......songs
***Picky Nicky I really enjoyed the opening to this song, and cue slides in with a chorus that goes well with the original sample, then raps for 4 minutes about the hoolla hoops he goes through with his "pretty nicky" with the help of Sonny Shotz, and Kyle Lucas, who bring their best to the table making the track more dynamic, not sure who throws in the last verse but thats probably my favorite so don't next this song too quickly
Changemaker- in this song cuey raps about the industry of rap and is determined to make a change
Gotta Move- This is a song of thanks, and praise. and that he needs to keep moving on up if he wants to get to the top cause nothing is stoping cue
Walk With Me- Started off loving this old school beat but eventually it became annoying. but give it a listen yourself
Momentum- Cuey speaks about the other rapers in the industry, and about his struggle to make it but he's found his momentum and is moving up
Because I Grind- Cuey claims in this song he is wanted because he grinds, in this song there seems to be talking of two people the one who cuey claims was outside bunny hopping his huffy while cuey i was in the crib imitating bigg and puffy. cuey lives his dream in this song
****Eat Your Words- i can some up this song in three words, fuck tha haters. This song talks about cueys life as a kid, being artistic and misunderstood, with family troubles, but now he's succeeding and "winning trophies that wont be my own they will be ours"
Inhale exhale- sounds like the story of my life. My favorite thing about the song is the club dance beat that would go nicely with some dubstup…..someone should hop on that
