Just in time for the holidays, here is kanyes "Christmas in Harlem" , Teyana Taylor makes for a smooth chorus. accompanied by kanye and CyHi Da Prynce, adding the swagger through great lyricism
maybe this song will get kanye off santas naughty list.
don't be too quick to judge diggy on his rapping skills, definitely give this song a good listen to, and maybe you will find yourself clicking replay over and over again, like i am. enojy
Whether or not you can give digg a chance, if he keeps working with his "big brother" lupe and people like pharrell, then it is only a matter of time until he gets big...don't hate
listen to Digg's song "Oh Yeah!" featuring Luper and Pharrell...then download here mediafire
Wayne is back. Cool, unusual beat, both rappers tear it up but corey goes a little harder in my opinion..they have that willy wonka flow similar to the second video, with Lil Wayne and Gudda Gudda
This was the only version of the song i could find on youtube...it ends at 4:02
Melo-X is someone who I can confidently say alotta people dont know about. But FUCK, you should! This New York hippie-esque MC put together a solid mixtape to vibe too. Creative beats with trancing melodies. Melo-X wrote, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered each of the 16 tracks and when his voice isnt on the mic, he choose the right people to be on it. Each track is different. Each track is solid in its own way. Burn One.
Ellie Goulding does it again with her cover of Rihannas "Only Girl in the World". I can't describe how much I enjoy listening to Ellie, from covers, to singles, all the way to random mash ups, even dubstep.
If you haven't heard of Young Prince than listen up now and download his song Early Birds, which he just released, and comes off of his highly anticipated and soon to drop mix tape W.A.R
Prince is a young rapper out of our nations beautiful capital, he has come out of nowhere, but is quickly rising up in the music industry. He boasts with a steady flow, and simple yet truth speaking chorus's, along with being highly influenced by his green thumb. Click here and download his song Early Birds. enjoy
here is Prince opening up for Wale, in Charleston, South Carolina at the Music Farm
"This that real good feeling that type that make you go to marthas table and start giving" preach it prince.... if your in the dc area and looking for a quality place to volunteer visit marthas table website by clicking here
I'm pretty unfamiliar with Calliko, all i know about him is he's an illinois based rapper, with a speedy flow, but this duo with wiz makes him arrive on my radar.
heres a lesson from master wiz himself...real talk out of a hot tub
Just weeks after being number one on Hype Machine with "Mean Planes and Taylor Gangs", Brenton is at it again with the help of his high school friend Patrick McKelvy, making a new song called "Lights". Brenton truly makes songs, not mashups, he creates his own beat, then will search for the right lyrics, this song consists of Ellie Gouldings "Lights" with the verses from Wale and Waka Floka in Waka's song "No Hands".
Ski Beatz is my favorite person in music right now. He makes the majority of the beats for Curren$y, Smoke DZA, Trademark da Skydiver....the list goes on. But the thing i respect him most for is the mixtape he put together and the quality of music on it. Obviously all the beats are his but the artists which he gets to feature on his tape start with names such as Curren$y and Jim Jones and ends with legends such as Mos Def. 24 Hour Karate School is a must buy if you like good music.
Alot of people have probably never heard of this dude. He is a smooth NYC native and loves his cheeba like many of his musical counterparts. Linking up with Spitta and K.R.I.T. gives this chill beat a vocal presence which makes there verses seem to be spoken and not rapped. They're telling you whey they're respected and why your not. Grab the mixtape, George Kush Da Button, and roll up. Burn One.
Stoner Music. Ill Verses. Perfect Chrous. Trademark is on the rise, not only with his bud, but with his music. Go get Issue 1, 2, and 3. And smoke alotta of tree while your listening. Burn One.
First off shout out to Miami University..MAC Champs baby whatsguuud
Always really liked big sean when he would feature on a song, but since dropping his mix tape Finally Famous..Click to download he became one of my favorite rappers. He has a new unique flow with great punchline lyrics
big sean with posner...download
I like it in the city.
shitty quality but drake and big sean together works for a nice colab
If you haven't heard of Yelawolf by now, you should have, he is definitely one of the top new MC's out there, putting out tracks with people such as bun b and Gucci Mane. This Alabama native spits straight fire similar to Twista but with a white southern twang. Hope you enjoy
I first heard cuey when he came out with his remix to Crashing Down but since then haven't given him much attention, I will say this many times throughout this blog, I'm dumb. I shouldnt't have set him aside. Cuey is a great artist who through his lyrisism and tone of voice it makes it so easy to hear his message and feel what he's feeling. i have no life so i did a review of every song but my favorite songs have asterics on them
****Story of a lifetime- great chorus, and a perfect #1 song, cuey has showed up, and is in it for the love of the music not greed.. and with a line like boobies doing the truffle shuffle how could this not be a great song?
*****Your Own Supply- Well we all know biggie says rule #4 is never get high on your own supply… but thats besides the point. in this un sung hero song for cuey says "since i was young i learned to endure im gonna get by just fine" well i know im gonna be fine if he keeps coming out with tracks like this
Won't matter tomorrow - funky drum beat, this song is about irish car bombs to the head, reminiscing with friends and "spend money like liquor that is flown"
****Breathe Me…. Really like the high pitch voice in this, reminds me of Lil wayne something you forgot…Cuey speaks of his inner daemons, and what truly is on his mind as an artist in this emotional track… a must listen
***The Sunset… comes in with a very nice acoustic guitar, with cuey talking softly in the back ground. the chorus explains it all in this song, whoever thinks cuey is waiting to watch the sunset with him is mistaken, because he is too driven and focussed in his rap game
You Must Be High -whatever chicky poo cuey is refereeing to MUST be high, in this uptempo song
She Likes My Music- In this song cuey's over that girl now and has found him some groupies that really like his……………......songs
***Picky Nicky I really enjoyed the opening to this song, and cue slides in with a chorus that goes well with the original sample, then raps for 4 minutes about the hoolla hoops he goes through with his "pretty nicky" with the help of Sonny Shotz, and Kyle Lucas, who bring their best to the table making the track more dynamic, not sure who throws in the last verse but thats probably my favorite so don't next this song too quickly
Changemaker- in this song cuey raps about the industry of rap and is determined to make a change
Gotta Move- This is a song of thanks, and praise. and that he needs to keep moving on up if he wants to get to the top cause nothing is stoping cue
Walk With Me- Started off loving this old school beat but eventually it became annoying. but give it a listen yourself
Momentum- Cuey speaks about the other rapers in the industry, and about his struggle to make it but he's found his momentum and is moving up
Because I Grind- Cuey claims in this song he is wanted because he grinds, in this song there seems to be talking of two people the one who cuey claims was outside bunny hopping his huffy while cuey i was in the crib imitating bigg and puffy. cuey lives his dream in this song
****Eat Your Words- i can some up this song in three words, fuck tha haters. This song talks about cueys life as a kid, being artistic and misunderstood, with family troubles, but now he's succeeding and "winning trophies that wont be my own they will be ours"
Inhale exhale- sounds like the story of my life. My favorite thing about the song is the club dance beat that would go nicely with some dubstup…..someone should hop on that
Canibus is sometimes called a "Black Eminem" because they were from the same era and spit vicious rhymes with similar style. Enjoy the wordplay, real rap. Burn One.
I first heard of this Chicago MC last summer when he dropped his mixtape "Straight Up". I normaly don't download an entire mixtape after hearing only one song but Vic caught me by surprise. The first thing i thought was of was Drake's "Comeback Season". He has the smooth flow that Drake had on his early tapes and uses some dope Chigaco brass and snare inspired beats. Check out the song "Lights Out" and get the tape. Burn One.
Played the original with Asher Roth for days, wiz comes in with his usual flow but keeps up with the beat well and adds to b.o.b's message nicely....bout to listen to OnCues new tape Leftovers..click to download
This video is similair to kudi's video for Cudderisback .. Mojo So Dope shows how much cudi loves what he's doing, sometimes being nerdy, goofy, whether he's smoking a blunt alone in an empty pool or perfomring for thousads of fans cudi is loving life and living it to the fullest. enjoy the video. and download his album Man On The Moon II the legend of Mr. Rager
This song isn't new, it comes off Ben Harpers and the Relentless7 album White Lies For Dark Timesvbut it's one of my favorite music videos... I'll post more later
Welcome to the blog.. its mainly about music, thoughts, and what me and my people have been listening to and thinking.
heres what i downloaded earlier this week
At first I was a little hesitant to Nicki as I think many people were, but I've learned 3 things after listening to miss minaj's new album Pink Friday One I was an idiot for not seeing how talented she was before this, second it is a must download, and lastly it is obvious she is one of the best MC's out there, she's been doing collaberations with people like Lil Wayne, Drake, Rihanna, Kanye, Rick Ross, for some time now, and now with this solo album she really proves that she should be on top.....fuck tha haters
My favorite tracks off the album areRight Thru Me, I'm The Best this song has a great jumpy beat and Nicki tears up the rap obviously, and Blazin kanye throws a nice verse in this one
Miss Minaj also did a remix to The Big Pink "Dominoes" in her song Girl's Fall Like Dominoes the chorus of The Big Pink combinded with Nickis flow makes for a must download bumpin jumpin party song
Two days late but, Im gonna end with RIP Sean Taylor April 1, 1983-November 27, 2007
